Global Process Management

Process management is the collection of activities that are involved in the monitoring and planning of the expected and ongoing performance of a process. Through it, you apply systems, techniques, tools and knowledge to control, measure, define and report on a process. This is done in order to full satisfy the customer.

To some extent, it does include process management.

Process management is a systematic approach to the methods involved in improving an organization’s business activities. It leads to the improvement in efficiency, effectiveness and adaptability of the business to change. If the core operations of an organization are handled well and effectively, then the other aspects of the business will also fall into place.

Note that a process is a set of well coordinated activities and tasks carried out by people and equipment in order to achieve a set goal.

It involves managing even more than one project at the same time as the team members work towards achieving one goal. It involves picking the right projects for the team depending on their particular skills and it also involves finding the links that exist between the different projects that you can choose to undertake. The manager has the responsibility of coordinating the individual projects.
