Business Process Management (BPM) is one of the fields in the management that focuses on putting organizations in the same line with the needs and the wants of the client. This is done by the continuous improvement of the processes in the business through the promotion of business effectiveness and efficiency.
The activities that constitute the BPM can be put under the journal :
Design
This is the identification of the existing processes and the coming up of the to be processes. A good design will reduce the number of problems that will be encountered in the processes lifetime.
Modeling
This is the design being done but this time round theoretically with the introduction of a combination of variables. These variables can be like increase in the cost or even changes in the in the price materials etc.
Execution
This is the automation of the processes through the development or the purchase of an application which will ensure that it executes all the required steps of the process.
Monitoring
This is the surveillance of each individual to evaluate their state so that statistics on each and every process can be gotten.
Optimization
This is the retrieval of the process performance from the modeling and the monitoring phases.
